At Avid K9, our in-person dog training in North Hollywood is designed to empower you, the owner, not just your dog. Using a relationship-first, play-based training approach, we teach owners how to communicate effectively, understand their dogs, and build real-world obedience skills. Instead of relying on rehearsed commands, we focus on practical dog training, leash manners, recall, impulse control, and behavior management to create lasting, meaningful results.

In-Person Training Policies
In-Person lessons must be booked in advance and paid in full before the first session. Each package has a set expiration date to ensure consistent progress. Lessons are not transferable to another person or dog.

Only active handlers may attend – Only those directly involved in training the dog may attend lessons. Friends, family members, and observers are not permitted unless previously approved.
No children under 13 are permitted at in-person sessions. Child care must be arranged in advance. Missing a session due to child care issues is not considered an excused absence.
In the event of extreme weather or unsafe travel conditions, sessions may be rescheduled at the trainer’s discretion. Clients will be notified as early as possible.

Payments are processed securely through Square.
Full payment is required before the first session.
No personal checks accepted.

Online lessons must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full rate.
If canceled with more than 24 hours' notice, the lesson must be rescheduled within two weeks and before the program expiration date, or it will be forfeited.

Prepaid lesson fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person or dog.

If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. Missed time will not be made up.
If I run behind schedule, you will receive your full session time.
